Hello, my name is Jamie. I’m 22 and recently graduated from Lancaster University with a 2:1 in Film Studies and Sociology. Since then, I have spent most of my time failing to gain employment and succeeding in being down about it.
This blog really only exists as something to do while I’m looking for work, something which seems particularly difficult for anyone who’s unemployed in the current economic climate, not to mention people with a largely useless degree – like mine. Most days since graduation I’ve got next to nothing done, so I felt this might at least give me some sense of achievement.
No doubt the frequencey of my updates will decrease steadily as time goes by, as I slowly lose interest and go back to sitting, slumped in front of the television, flicking from channel to channel as I kid myself that I won’t be tempted to google porn again today.
Anyway I hope you enjoy it whilst it lasts.
P.S. If you’re wondering why it’s called ‘Safetery Pin’, I don’t really have any answer. It was something stupid I dreamed up to entertain myself, and I thought since a blog needs some sort of name, that would do. Anyway, I don’t need to explain myself to the likes of you.
